Wireless headphones make for a great birthday gift. It allows the recipient to enjoy their favorite music through a pair of headphones without having to have their device on their person. Personally I use mine when I workout. I used to have an issue with wired headphones being ripped out of my ear when the wire would get caught on the exercise machine I was using.

I’m going to review three wireless/bluetooth headphones I have personally tried and give you my actual choice.

The first bluetooth headphones I selected was the Sony Active Sports Bluetooth Headset.

These headphones are quite small and easy to carry around. The pairing is very quick and easy, allowing your new bluetooth headphones to be synced to your phone in a matter of seconds. The sound quality is quite good, however raising the volume was quite low. After a few quick google searches I found that you need to push the multi-use button three times in a row a few times to raise it to a comfortable level. The other issue I had with these wireless headphones was the battery life. After two to three workouts, lasting anywhere from an hour to two hours, I needed to charge them. Luckily, they also charge very quick and can have full power within one to two hours.

Pros:

• Small and easy to carry around
• Quick pairing to device
• Good sound quality
• Quick charging
• Cost compared to the others

Cons:

• Difficult to raise volume, but once it’s raised it stays
• Short battery life
• Microphone quality is lacking

 

The second pair of wireless headphones I will review is the Bose SoundLink On-Ear Bluetooth Headphones.

These are one of the few on-ear bluetooth headphones I actually liked quite a bit. If you’re anything like me you are probably thinking “these are huge and bulky and overpriced” but it’s quite the contrary. They are actually the perfect size. As far as the price goes, you pay for what you get and with these Bose bluetooth headphones you get a very high quality product. Of the three headphones I reviewed, these had the best sound quality. The battery life on these bluetooth headphones is very good. They last nearly 15 hours before a recharge is required. They do take a bit longer to charge but that is because the battery is much bigger.

• Ease of use

Cons:

• Price – They are a bit on the expensive side but it is definitely worth it.
• Microphone quality is lacking

 

The last set of headphones I reviewed was the SwageU EVO Bluetooth Headphones.

These headphones, like the Sony Active Sports Bluetooth Headset, are quite small and easy to carry around. They are very easy to run in and keep from getting tangled. These headphones are very comfortable. So comfortable that while I was using them I actually forgot I had them on. The battery life on these is comparable to the Bose’s headphones above and last between 12 to 15 hours on a full charge. The microphone on these headphones is actually surprisingly good.

• Ease of use
• Price

Cons:

• I had no cons for this product

Of all of these bluetooth headphones I had the ability to test, I opted to choose the SwageU EVO Bluetooth Headphones. Overall they were amazing and only cost $50.
